Illinois Trip 2015-2016

Well hello my fellow blog readers. It has been quite some time since I have updated this. Life is busy busy busy…but more on that later. Christmas 2015 was one for the books! I am basically going to make this a picture entry because there is so much to share and so little time…but since I am home sick today I think this is a perfect time for me to do a little catching up since writing on the blog does not take too much energy out of me.
This is all from the Lincoln Museum we had the chance to visit in Springfield, IL as well as Abraham Lincoln’s memorial in Springfield as well.

Next, we were off to Nauvoo, Illinois where we had the chance to a do a session in the temple. It was beautiful and so breathtaking. Here are some pictures of some sights we saw for the couple of days we were able to go there. Thanks dad for taking us! ðŸ™‚

This is Carthage Jail ^ that was probably my favorite part of the whole trip. The spirit you feel in there is so real and so intense.

May 12, 2015 When you aren’t looking, that’s when it usually happens. Life is definitely no fairy tale, nor did I ever expect it to be, but when I met Brennen I finally felt like fairy tales could really become reality tales.  We were both attending BYU-Idaho when we met. Our apartments hung out towards the end of the spring semester, and we sort of just kept talking over the summer. I was back in Illinois and he was in Nampa working. We never expected much to come out of it. When I came back out to school in September, Brennen took multiple trips up to Rexburg to see me every other weekend, sometimes every weekend. I thought it was insane. Who would spend that much money in gas to come see me for two days out of the week? 35 weeks and large!

I am almost 35 weeks now and can I just say....I am ready to be done! Maybe it is the constant breathlessness... Maybe it is the fact that he kicks me at the wrong times....I mean I love feeling him move...but at 3am? Maybe it is the hormones that are just now emerging...Seriously though I haven't been very hormonal until now. Maybe it is just the sore muscles...The way I tell Brennen what hurts is like this, "Everything hurts...but _____ hurts a little more." I have loved being pregnant for the most part, but as they say...the third trimester is not the easiest. I am excited to meet this baby! My anxiety has peeked, as have the nerves, but the excitement keeps going up! In just a few weeks, this baby will be out and I will be able to sleep how I want! Not necessarily when I want...but I will be able to roll over and that sounds fantastic right about now.
