35 weeks and large!

Image
I am almost 35 weeks now and can I just say....I am ready to be done! Maybe it is the constant breathlessness... Maybe it is the fact that he kicks me at the wrong times....I mean I love feeling him move...but at 3am? Maybe it is the hormones that are just now emerging...Seriously though I haven't been very hormonal until now. Maybe it is just the sore muscles...The way I tell Brennen what hurts is like this, "Everything hurts...but _____ hurts a little more." I have loved being pregnant for the most part, but as they say...the third trimester is not the easiest. I am excited to meet this baby! My anxiety has peeked, as have the nerves, but the excitement keeps going up! In just a few weeks, this baby will be out and I will be able to sleep how I want! Not necessarily when I want...but I will be able to roll over and that sounds fantastic right about now.

Where has the time gone...

2019 is the best year ever.  I'm not just saying that because I haven't updated the blog since 2018 and it is hard to say if anyone even knows how our 2018 went...but because it is literally the BEST YEAR EVER!  On November 30th, 2018 I woke up and took a pregnancy test. And you guessed right... And guess what? We broke the girl streak in both of our family's because... We could not be any more excited than we are, but I still feel more excited and anxious every single day. We have been patiently trying and waiting for this opportunity and after praying and hoping, Heavenly Father decided it was a good time for us to have this little dude come into our lives.  We have not decided on a name yet, but we have a couple good ones brewing inside our minds. The list gets changed everyday and new names get added while others that we used to like get taken off. I hope it is one of those moments that we just know when we see his cute little face.  Little Baby D i...

It is 2018!

I don't have any pictures to attach to this post, but I do want to update all of our friends and family about what is going on in our lives. At this point we are currently living in Illinois and Brennen was accepted into nursing school! He is getting close to finishing his first semester here in just a month or two. We are so excited to see where he is going in life and to know that these steps are getting us that much closer to a career. He absolutely loves the things he is learning. He comes home everyday and tells me about all of the medical jargon stuff that he is learning about. He is constantly taking my breath away with all the information he constantly has to learn. I am so happy that he is on this path in his life and is making progress towards fulfilling his dreams: our dreams. I am basically a stay-at-home puppy mom. We bought Rogue back in the summer. I think we got her in June. She is a beautiful German Shepherd and she is almost a year old now. We are loving her so ...

Blog Change

May 1, 2017 If you are reading this, you have probably read my older blog as well. I got fed up with the constant problems I had with that website design and it constantly not allowing me to publish. So, I have taken the time (and used a lot of patience) to republish my entire old blog (https://lifeasadeason.wordpress.com/) to this new blog (https://lifeasadeason.blogspot.com). So, if you read my older posts on this blog you will see that it says they were published today on May 1st, 2017. If you read the very first line of the post you are reading, I have posted the exact date that the entry was actually written. This is to make sure we are all aware that what is going on in our lives currently is published with newer dates rather than older dates. Like I said, it took a lot of time and patience to republish and copy and paste my entire blog to this new one.  Once again, the updated website for our current and most up-to-date blog is: https://lifeasadeason.blogspot.com ...

The Deason Move

May 1, 2017 Can I be the first to say it...well I'm not the first and I'm super happy, but... I GRADUATED COLLEGE!!!!!!  It is crazy to think that 4 years of my life flew by so quickly! I am now graduated from BYU-Idaho with a Bachelor's in Psychology and a minor in Sociology. I am absolutely thrilled! The support I have had from family and friends throughout this journey has been incredible. And I can't forget about my awesome husband who has been there supporting me while his education has been put on hold.  Although Brennen's education has been put on hold, it no longer is so! We have moved across the country to a little town called Rockton, Illinois (where I am originally from back in the high school days of my life). Brennen is going to start attending Rock Valley College in the fall and work towards becoming a nurse. We are super excited for this change and so far are loving it! Everything seems to be falling into place for us ...

A Snippet

May 23, 2016 I am one of those people who likes to write down every aspect of what I’m feeling. Since I was about 13, I have written down what I feel, who I feel it towards or about, and most importantly I wrote down exactly what happened. I was thinking about all of this and I kept thinking about the first time I met Brennen. It was July 16th, 2014. I remember he had come to my apartment with his roommates. I walked out of my bedroom and around the corner in a very grungy mood. I was not having a good day, but I remember coming out of the room and seeing him standing by the wall by the couch on his phone (of course!). He was wearing his black converse shoes (high tops), tan pants, batman shirt, and his army tags. His phone had an American flag case on it. I remember he awkwardly looked up at me, made eye contact with me, and looked back down at his phone. We were going star gazing with his apartment and mine and I remember I sat next to him in the car and things just kept getting b...

Update on Life

February 1, 2016 Okay, so Brennen and I are both in school right now full time. He starts back at work in about two months or so. We have recently found out that BYU-Idaho has taken away the Paramedic program which Brennen was working so hard to get into. He has been taking the prerequisites faithfully and been passing with the proper grades in order to fly full speed ahead into the program. Unfortunately for us, and so many students who are probably in the same boat as us, they removed the major and now we are working on our plan B. Right now we are pretty set in stone with our plan, but things always change as we have experienced this past month. We have been told that he could get into the nursing program here, but he would need to do more prerequisites and we would be here in Rexburg a lot longer than we intended to be. What we have determined is Brennen is going to try to get into the nursing program at Boise State University. This transfer would not be happening until the su...
